This is my personal weblog. I have resisted the idea of blogging for several years; relenting when it occurred to me that I was writing anyway, only to file my completed essays away in complete secrecy. This blog serves as a public record of my work, but I am not particularly concerned whether anyone actually reads it – which is just as well, given the clamorous hucksterism I’d be competing with in today’s attention economy. Nor am I anyone important: a twenty-something year-old Anglo-American; possessed of a puerile hunger for pizza, beer, Jaffa Cakes and cheese; and  presently living in London. I write about whatever interests me: chiefly politics, but also science and the arts.
